The leader of a burglary ring that targeted churches in Lenawee, Jackson and Washtenaw counties soon may be released from prison.Aaron Ray Hanson, 30, of Westland may be released due to a Michigan Court of Appeals ruling that the burglaries were not predatory behavior. To comply with an appeal order issued in December, Lenawee County Circuit Court shortened Hanson’s prison term Thursday from the minimum six-year sentence he received in 2014 to 28 months to 15 years.
